Lacrosse 6’s pick-up games are structured as fast-paced, 6-on-6 matchups, where players of all ages and skill levels can come together to enjoy the sport. Each game is overseen by a single coach or referee who balances the teams to ensure fair and competitive play. The 6-on-6 format allows for more action, creativity, and teamwork, with every player getting ample opportunities to handle the ball and develop their skills.
Beyond the structure of the game, these pick-up sessions are deeply rooted in the medicine game mindset. The coach/referee not only manages the game but also reinforces the values of respect, community, and personal growth that are integral to lacrosse’s cultural heritage.
Whether you’re aiming to improve your technique or simply to enjoy the camaraderie, Lacrosse 6’s pick-up games provide a unique blend of competitive play and tradition, ensuring that everyone leaves the field feeling inspired and connected to the lacrosse community.
Lacrosse 6’s Skill Sessions offers an exclusive and intensive training environment, limited to just 8 players or fewer per session. This small group setting ensures that each athlete receives personalized, one-on-one coaching from our experienced instructors, including lacrosse legends like Gewas Schindler.
The session is designed to maximize skill development through focused, high-repetition drills. By limiting the number of drills, players have the opportunity to practice the same movements repeatedly, allowing for rapid improvement and a deeper understanding of key techniques. This approach not only hones essential lacrosse skills but also builds confidence and muscle memory, making it easier to apply these skills in real-game situations.
Perfect for athletes of all levels, from those new to the 6’s format to seasoned players looking to sharpen their abilities, the Lacrosse 6’s Skill Session is the ideal environment to elevate your game. With an emphasis on quality reps and individualized coaching, players will leave each session with noticeable improvements and a stronger grasp of the strategies and techniques needed to excel in 6’s lacrosse.
Wyoming 6’s Adult Fitness Fitness Club is perfect for adults who want to get in shape with effective weight training while getting their cardio through lacrosse, even if they have no prior experience.
We offer multiple pick-up games each week where we embrace the medicine game mindset, along with skill sessions designed to improve your lacrosse abilities while giving you a great workout. Both activities serve as High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), which sport science shows is optimal for burning fat and building lean muscle, especially when paired with our weight training program.
Our weight training focuses on stimulating hypertrophy through training, nutrition, and recovery, following Ben Pakulski’s Muscle Intelligence (MI) methodologies. This approach ensures controlled, intentional lifting, making your workouts safer and more effective. With short breaks between sets, we pack a high volume of work into just 45 minutes. The goal is simple: get in, lift smart and hard, and get out.
The Wyoming 6’s Fledgling package includes 20 lifting coaching sessions, which you can also purchase individually. With 20 sessions, we can coach you on specific movements 4-5 times, helping you refine your form and build a strong mind-muscle connection. If you enjoy lifting with others or simply need a place to work out, you can join the Wyoming 6’s Gym, which comes with free coaching whenever our staff is available.
We recommend maintaining a 2-to-1 weight training to HIIT balance. Whether that means two lifts and one pick-up game per week or five lifts and two games for a more intense body transformation, we’ll design a workout schedule that works for you.
We have time slots available Monday-Thursday. Sign up for your first session, and if you choose to purchase a package, we’ll apply the full purchase price of your first session to it. If the available time slots don’t work for you, DM us, and we’ll find a time that does.
If you’re happy with your current workout regimen and just want to add lacrosse into the mix, that’s great too! Sign up for a pick-up game or skill session.
Stringing and maintaining a men’s lacrosse pocket is unique in sports. Traditional or mesh? High, mid, or low pocket? Shooting string configuration? We cover all these aspects with our world-class instructors, offering on-field and off-field support, including tune-ups and restringing. For those not ready to commit to the expense of new equipment, we also provide used and rental gear.
The Haudenosaunee call lacrosse the Medicine Game because of its physical fitness benefits and the mental health benefits of athletic competition. In our modern, sedentary lives, the Medicine Game can take on a new meaning. Lacrosse is a sport that people can play for decades into their adulthood, providing continuous motivation and physical activity.
