Code of Conduct

At Lacrosse 6’s, we provide players of all ages and skill levels with the right level of competition based on where they are and their goals. To do this, we need everyone to embrace what we call the Medicine Game mindset in our 6’s pick-up games. This means respecting the game’s deep roots, playing fair, and treating everyone – teammates, opponents, and refs – with respect. It’s about having fun, improving, and growing together, win or lose.

With the right attitude, we can walk the line of allowing competitive play while encouraging clearly dominant athletes to dial it back sometimes. If two elite high school varsity athletes want to get after it within the rules of the field game, that is awesome. But if a dominant athlete splatters a smaller or younger kid, that is totally not cool. This helps everyone find the right level of competition and makes the game fun for everyone.
Being cool to each other creates a positive vibe and makes everyone feel welcome. This will grow our training club to the point where we have players of all ages and skill levels, and everyone will find the right level of competition. Embrace this mindset, and we’ll all have a blast while getting better at the game.

Our coach/referee ensures that games are fair and balanced. They set up even teams and control play to help everyone focus on passing and stick skills. It’s not just about scoring; it’s about getting better and playing smart. This way, no matter your skill level, you can enjoy the game and improve.

When we roll out competitive league play, tournaments, and elite camps, the rules will let everyone play to win. But in our 6’s pick-up games, the Medicine Game mindset will help grow our community. It allows for more games, more players, and the right match-ups for everyone.
